Petra Amman Tours makes money when you book a tour through a link on this site. Here is exactly how that works, and what it does not change.
How this site is paid
Every "Check Availability" and "Book" link here goes to a booking platform — Viator or GetYourGuide — carrying a tracking code that identifies this site. If you book, the platform pays Petra Amman Tours a commission out of its own margin. Petra Amman Tours may earn a commission when you book through a link on this site, at no extra cost to you. You pay the platform's own price, and it is the same price you would pay arriving there any other way.
What we are not
- We are not the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority, and we do not sell entry to the Petra Archaeological Park. The authority sells that, at the Visitor Centre and through its own online office.
- We are not a tour operator. We do not own vehicles, employ drivers or run any of the departures listed here.
- We are not a ticket agent. Where a fare includes the park ticket as a bookable grade, that arrangement is the operator's, not ours.
Operators cannot buy position
No operator on this site has paid for placement, for a badge or for a position in any list. The three featured trips carry the highest published review volumes at good ratings, and they span three different shapes of day, so the choice in front of you is a real one rather than a ranking. Badges are measurable claims: "Best seller" is the highest review count on the page, "Top rated" is a rating of 4.9 or better, and "Best value" is the lowest fare.
Where the figures come from
Prices, ratings, review counts, durations and inclusions are the operators' own, taken from their listings on the date shown at the foot of each page. They drift, and a price you see here may not be the price at checkout. Facts about Petra itself — the entry fees, the opening hours, the Petra by Night schedule, the Jordan Pass terms and the trail gradings — come from the Petra Development and Tourism Region Authority, the Jordan Pass and the Jordan Tourism Board, each linked on the page that uses them.
What you still pay at the gate
This is worth stating plainly on the page about money. Not one of the fares listed on this site includes entry to the Petra Archaeological Park in its base price. The park charges 50 JD for a one-day ticket if you are spending a night in Jordan and 90 JD if you are not, and that is paid to the authority, not to us and not to the operator.
Your booking is with the operator
When you click through and book, your contract is with the booking platform and the operator behind the listing. Cancellations, refunds, changes and complaints go to them, through the confirmation they send you. We have no access to your booking and cannot alter it.
