- The hours at the site matter more than the fare. The most useful review on this page says four to five hours reaches the Treasury and the city but not the Monastery — and asks the operator for more time if that is what you want.
- The driver makes the day. Almost every paraphrase above names one. On a route with six hours of driving in it, that is not a small thing.
- The camps vary. One traveller found no air conditioning in a tent and another was split across two rooms after booking for three. The listings that name a private tent with its own bathroom are naming a real difference.
- The shuttle back can be slow. One review flags the free ride from the site to the Visitor Centre taking far longer than expected. Leave room for it at the end of a timed day.
